C2 Capital is something that I’m trying to force myself to write my thoughts down. Typically I just run off of a few notes and stuff in my head, but that has some problems. I forget stuff eventually and I won’t be able to see what mistakes I made. Hopefully this should hold me more accountable as well as serving as a cool tool to see my investing journey.
My goal is to only write about things that interest me because if not, it just wouldn’t be fun. Typically the simpler the business the better, but sometimes I do like to give myself a bit of a challenge. Each business will most likely be a “compounder” of sorts. Other then that there can be a bit of anything.
As for myself, I started reading and getting into investing in early 2020 after the pandemic crash. Buffett was the obvious starting point for me, so his principles are what I’m attempting to instill. Outside of the standard investing books like The Intelligent Investor, Daniel Kahnman’s Thinking Fast and Slow, Philip Fischer’s Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits have probably helped me the most or at least I found them to be interesting. Nick Sleep’s letters were also extremely informative and really any resource from a super investor. I still have much to learn considering I’ve only be at this for 2 years or so, but it’s been fun. Admittedly, I may also be using this for college admissions to show them what I spend my free time on.
